IC3 Digital Literacy
Even if you don’t plan on a career as a computer support technician, the IC3 GS5 certification is still relevant as it addresses the digital literacy topics that most employers require for modern day jobs. The IC3 GS5 certification is comprised of three exams: 1. Computing Fundamentals, 2. Key Applications, and 3. Living Online.
CompTIA A+ Hardware exam 220-1001
The CompTIA A+ certification is globally recognized, industry-supported, and trusted by governments, businesses, and many potential employers. It is designed to prove that an exam candidate has competency with mobile devices, networking technology, hardware, virtualization, cloud computing, and network troubleshooting. The CompTIA A+ 220-1001 is a vendor neutral exam that covers the “hardware” used in end-user computing. The topics addressed in this course will include: CPU architecture, motherboard components, RAM, mobile devices, networking technology, virtualization and cloud computing, and basic network troubleshooting.
CompTIA A+ Software exam 200-1002
The CompTIA A+ 220-1002 exam covers installing and configuring operating systems, expanded security, software troubleshooting, and operational procedures. Like the 220-1001 exam, the 220-1002 exam is comprehensive and vendor-neutral, which means that the certification does not focus on just one company's products. Instead, the certification objectives range across many technologies, services, hardware and software ranging from traditional devices and operating systems to the plethora of mobile devices and technology in use today. The CompTIA A+ certification has great value in the marketplace as an indicator of a prospective employee's skill level, proving to employers that a job seeker has the necessary computer troubleshooting knowledge and proper communication skills to complete their tasks with minimal supervision.
CompTIA Network+ N10-007
This course will prepare you for the CompTIA Network+ (N10-007) exam. The Network+ exam addresses the foundational knowledge needed by today’s IT networking professionals. It offers a good balance of the different areas involved in IT infrastructure with the appropriate level of difficulty for a junior network professional. The topics covered by this course includes: basic networking concepts, network infrastructures, network operations, basic network Security, network troubleshooting, and an overview of the tools used by networking professionals.
CompTIA Security+ SYO-601
The CompTIA Security+ exam focuses on today’s best practices for risk management and risk mitigation, including more emphasis on the practical and hands-on ability to both identify and address security threats, attacks and vulnerabilities. This course will focus on how to design and implement a secured computer system, and a secured network architecture. You’ll also learn how to detect various types of threats and understand penetration testing and vulnerability scanning concepts. Other topics include the best practices for management controls, risk management, and troubleshooting methodology to support organizational security.
